It will show all of your students' testing scores. If you need help accessing it, please contact the school office -Covid Update- Our schools numbers are tracking right along with the rest of the district. For it to be counted as a Positive case the school must receive an communication from the Health Department or the family must show the positive test results to the school - There is a Principal's Chat this Thursday at 6:30PM that everyone is invited to attend -The School Improvement meeting is Monday at 6PM. All are welcome to attend The New school building is on track. She is working on Tutoring Programs, Bucket Fillers, Community Partners and will have other volunteer opportunities if you are looking to get involved Dance Fit Update- The new date is Thursday 10/21. You will start receiving communication about it on 10/11 There is a Dance Fit Committee meeting on Monday 9/27 at 7 PM if anyone would like to help or attend, let us know The first Restaurant Spirit Night at Hungry Howie's raised $140 for our school! Thank you to all who attended. The next one will be 10/7 We will be having a Restaurant Spirit Night at Grace O'Malley's on 10/21. It will be Halloween themed! You are encouraged to dress up! Room Parents update. All but 1 of the classes have room parents! If you are a parent in Ms. Click's 4th grade class and are interested in volunteering, please let us know. There will be a Virtual Room Parent Meeting on 9/28 to answer any questions Open Positions_ New Member Recruitment Coordinator and a Snack the Staff Chair Volunteer Opportunities: There may be opportunities coming up for parents to help out at lunch time to make sure students are properly social distancing. Right now, there are still no volunteers allowed in classrooms because of the social distancing requirements. We are following the district recommendations. Welcome -Nikki Prenoveau -Incoming president for 2021-22 school year Principal Update- Ms. Hager -K students had first day today and went well -updated covid guidelines, particularly re: volunteers in the building, will be forthcoming -Back to School Night will be virtual on 9/9 -addressed a carpool question from a parent, they are working on streamlining the process -addressed a covid quarantine question -covid code for absence in PowerSchool, student may continue work via Canvas if quarantined Committee & Event Updates 2021-22 Board Members- Nikki Prenoveau -introduced all Board members Copy Crew - Jessica Hasley -Monday-Thursday are open, Friday is filled -hope to start on 9/13, Ms. Hager to advise further based on covid guidelines Restaurant Spirit Night Report - Courtney Farris for Emilee Potter -Hungry Howie’s on Sardis Rd. N- first Thursday of the month - 4-9pm -another local restaurant - 3rd Thursday of the month - anyone with contacts, please reach out to PTO Treasurer Report - Siri Nutting -turn in receipts or PTO membership $ to the PTO treasurer box in workroom - she will check it on Fridays -copies of budget available -other “free”money: BoxTops, Amazon Smile, HT Room Parents - Amy McHugh -New K parent and new in this role -still some openings for room parents -will be contacting room parents within the next few weeks with instructions Volunteer Needs - Nikki Prenoveau -Opportunities to volunteer: community partners (aka“free money”) coordinator, copy crew, book fair breakfast, snack the staff, fun fest, field day -open Board positions: Vice President, Recruitment Chair -most pressing needs are for the upcoming Fun Run “face” and committee Questions/Discussion - Fun Run may look different this year because of covid restrictions and construction.
